The day job brought me to Denver, Colorado for a quick 5 hours of work…so I decided to stay the weekend.
Colorado’s economy has been brought a windfall of business with Pot Tourism by the recreational legalization of Marijuana. Since I love everything Cannabis, I decided to take some of it in…and some of their outstanding beer scene too.
Lodging
When first looking for places to stay in Denver, it is quickly evident that hotels are not pot smoke friendly. Many told me that there are heavy fines for smoking in the room or even on balconies. When hotels do accommodate for smoking in room, the prices seem to double and usually have to be made through a Cannabis Tour company such as My 420 Tours.
Since the wife was not coming along for this smoke filled trip, I decided to do it on the down low and book a 420 friendly AirBnB. After using the online service a couple of times in different cities in the past, I was relatively comfortable about the choice I made. Guess I didn’t read the description close enough and missed the part that it was more of a hostel/frat house but in the end, it was fine for a stoner who wanted to smoke a lot of pot non-stop, drink beer and learn things and meet people. I did all of those things!
Pot Tourism
Besides going to dispensaries, which is like going to the liquor store for me, I wanted to pamper myself with a Cannabis massage and a Marijuana grow tour and selected My420Tours.com.
After spending my first full day doing business and networking for a future Cannabis Investment, I had a massage lined up for 5 pm on Friday.
Being a firm believer of Medicated Topicals, I looked forward to a nice massage after what has been a very stressful year. No matter how much my wife tries, she is just not a masseuse.
After booking my appointment through My 420 Tours, I proceeded to go to Lo Do Massage for the massage. At $95, it was reasonably priced for an hour in-studio session and have it medicated as well. With this past year and half bringing many life changing events, it all lead to a very tense body. Juliette was my masseuse and did an excellent job finding my stress knots and working Cannabis infused massage lotion and ointment into them…just what the doctor ordered but no prescription needed for this medicated massage.
The following day was the “4 hour” VIP Grow and Dispensary Tour. Not being much of a tour guy, I did enjoy this one because it was professionally run, on time and the guide was great (except for I forgot her name, or really never got it in the first place). As soon as we sat down in the blacked out Limo Bus, we were able to pull out some pot and smoke. The group was small with plenty of sharing and showing off of how big hits each could take.
The first stop was an industrial marijuana grow for Mindful Dispensaries.
The facility itself was roughly 43,000 square feet and was located right across the street from the Denver Police department. While standing outside waiting to get in, not a smell or whiff of pot and one would never know that 4 dispensaries worth of Marijuana is growing inside.
